Meet Tara Probeck
I started as an artist. Pencils, paint, a sketchbook always within reach — creativity wasn't something I did, it was how I saw the world. I took that into a marketing degree, found my footing at an ad agency, and quickly realized that the intersection of art and strategy was where I was meant to be. So I went back and earned my graphic design certificate — and never looked back.
As the digital world evolved, so did I. I dove headfirst into content, digital marketing, and web strategy, building a niche that's honestly hard to find in one person: creative vision, strategic thinking, technical execution, and the storytelling instincts of an artist. It's the combination that's defined my career.
Today I serve as Senior Director of Marketing at the MUSC Foundation, leading a $250M capital campaign for a new cancer hospital — the kind of work that reminds you why storytelling and strategy matter. Before that, I spent years as an Executive Director at Nova Southeastern University, leading a team of 20 across creative, digital, content, and multimedia — building campaigns that moved the needle on enrollment, brand, and fundraising.
My experience spans higher education, healthcare, and nonprofits — sectors where the work is personal and the stakes are real. I've led major website overhauls, built high-performing teams from the ground up, managed multi-million dollar budgets, and created campaigns that connect with real people.
I help clients with:
Evaluating and reimagining marketing strategies with bold creative and integrated digital-first thinking — connecting every touchpoint from first impression to conversion.
Elevating teams and building future-ready organizations through skills development, goal alignment, and inspirational leadership.
Building content strategies rooted in authentic storytelling — using video, digital, and audience-driven communications to deepen connection and inspire action.
When I'm not in strategy mode, I'm savoring new flavors, exploring new places with my dog, and finding inspiration in the people and cultures I encounter along the way. Curiosity isn't just a personality trait — it's a professional superpower.
Northern roots. Southern soul. Heart and head in everything I do.
